Kimberbell Cuties -Hearts A Flutter

You are sure to fall in love with this darling table topper featuring Deck of Cards in the center square and vinyl covered conversation hearts in the corners. 

In this series of classes you will learn how to assemble your topper using the “Quilt as you go method.” I will also show you how to prequilt your topper. The combination of these two procedures will eliminate the need to stitch in the ditch making the back of your quilt look as nice as the front. We will use batting in place of stabilizer in your hoop so be sure to cut it larger. 

Additionally I will show you how to line up your embroidery designs, how to make a few simple changes to eliminate bulky seams and how to combine designs on your topper. 

This first month we will be sewing, quilting and embroidering in the two classes. Once you have learned the basic assembly techniques you will prepare your top at home and we will do the embroidery and quilting in class.  There will be homework for every class. Please be prepared!!! 

When you choose fabrics for the conversation hearts put the colored vinyl over top of the fabric to see what color you are going to end up with. I used very pale fabrics under the vinyl to tone them down a bit. 

The quilting designs needed for the project are not included on the CD enclosed in the book. They are sold separately. You can purchase them from Kimberbell.com or other online stores.
