Rain Forest Blossoms
Join Quiltworx Certified Instructor, Sandy Lieske, to make Rain Forest Blossoms, a fun and quick pattern that incorporates applique to create your own flower garden. In this 4-day class you will learn the Quiltworx approach to foundation paper-piecing that allows you to be efficient but also deliver beautiful results. The project is constructed from just a few blocks and border units, allowing you to work through your piecing easily. The applique can be completed in a traditional way by machine or done using your embroidery machine and digitized designs from Fabric Confetti. Both ways will be demonstrated in class. A pre-class Zoom session will be scheduled prior to the class. Please ask for a supply list and pre-class instructions to help you get started. | Instructor Bio: | Sandy is an avid quilter, enjoying all types of projects she makes for friends and family. At the urging of a friend in 2016, Sandy completed her first Quiltworx pattern, Prismatic Star, and really enjoyed Judy?s approach to paper piecing. She was truly hooked after making Summer Solstice in her first class with a Certified Instructor. Sandy appreciates the precise way the seemingly complex designs come together using techniques such as smart corners, and reference points. She loves the color selection process that enables the creation of beautiful projects from placemats to queen size quilts. Sandy has completed over a 100 Quiltworx projects of varying sizes and looks forward to making many more. Sandy is excited to be a Judy Niemeyer Certified Instructor and work with her students to finish their Quiltworx projects and become advocates for Judy?s foundation paper piecing approach. Her personal goal is to help quilters of all skill levels realize they can create that special Quiltworx project for themselves or others. Sandy is married and enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, Abby. They reside in Boise though travel extensively and can be found checking out local quilt shops. |
