Jelly Roll Bag
This bag is so bright and cheerful you’ll want to make several! Change up the fabrics and the bling and you’ve got a totally different bag. Make one for every season or holiday. Your friends will be begging for one too!
This bag is perfect for a jelly roll and the batting is conveniently on a roll as well. The batting is called Bosal Katahdin and is 100% organic cotton. It’s nice and light making it easy to sew multiple layers together without creating too much bulk. It comes in 25’ and 50’ lengths; the small roll will be enough for one bag but you will want to make two. With most of the work done for you, you will be able to whip one up on no time. In fact you can make two from one jelly roll, one for you, one for a friend!
This is a two part class. You will sew your strips together in the first class and assemble your bag in the second class.
I’ll show you how to use your MuVit foot or a walking foot and wonder clips to make sewing your strips quick and easy. I’ve got a few tricks for attaching the bottom and handles to the bag too. The fun really starts when you add the bling to your bag. I’ll bring a bunch of ribbon, rick rack and baubles for you to use too
