Floral Sewing Machine Purse (Embroidery)

While this darling project is more of a tote than a purse, you are sure to want one to keep your supplies neat and organized!

This is a great in-the-hoop project to advance your embroidery skills.

The instructions call for the design to be stitched on both sides of the bag, however, we will only stitch the design on the front of the bag.

Please go to the Sweet Pea website and purchase the digital design. There are three sizes available, and we want to make the largest bag your machine can accommodate. The required hoop size for the largest bag, like the sample, is 7 X 12. If you do not have a hoop that size or larger, there is a 6 x 10 and a 5 x 7 option.

I will show you how to use battilizer, batting/stabilizer in one. You will need two pieces of battilizer and one piece of tear away stabilizer. Be sure the pieces are large enough to put in your hoop with a minimum of 1” extra all around. Do not cut the battilizer the size the pattern indicates. Be sure to fuse SF 101 on the back side of your lining fabric.
