Longarm Qmatic & Art N Stitch Fall Pumpkin Placemat

If you are looking to increase your Longarm skills, this is the class for you. These lovely placements are from Bit of Orange designs. Using the Art and Stitch program I’ll show you how to position the designs, sequence the elements, create the stitching for the backing pieces and save the file in a format your machine can use. 

These placemats are made on the longarm in a similar fashion to embroidery with a few minor differences. There is no hoop or stabilizer involved. The program also  

won’t stitch out some of the edge finishing stitches.  

In class, I will show you how to layout the designs using the Art and Stitch program and then save the designs on a USB stick for your use at home. We will make one placement in class with the fabric provided in your kit on the shop long arm machines. You will then be able to make a set at home with the fabrics of your choice. Or you can rent the long arm machine to make a set for yourself if you do not own a long arm machine yet! 

 I combined two designs side by side so you can stitch out two placemats at a time at home.  After completing the decorative stitching, add the backing fabrics and turn and press. Then roll the fabric and make two or four or six more!
