Finishing the edges of your quilt is the final step after piecing the quilt top together, adding borders and quilting it. Much like framing a painting it is the final step to adorning your quilt. There are many ways to bind a quilt and I will be showing you several that will compliment your finished quilt.
Learn how to cut and join binding strips, determining yardage for binding, the difference between straight-grain and bias binding and when they should be used, sculpted edged binding and more. Different finished techniques such as straight simple binding sewn on the front and finished by hand stitching on the quilt back, binding that is machine attached to the back and machine finished on the front. Also included in the class will be rounded corners, adding garnish to your borders such as rick rack, accent edging or lace.
